A Harkness Memorial State Park Engagement Session

I just can’t get enough of Sarah and Tim’s engagement session! They are just the absolute sweetest couple. We were able to laugh together and have conversations flow like we have been friends for year! Definitely one of my favorite parts of any session that feels like this.

Sarah and Tim were planning a backyard wedding and their engagement session for August of 2020, the summer of COVID. Their original photographer had to cancel because of the pandemic. I was lucky enough to answer a post on Facebook for someone looking for wedding photographer to fill her spot! I like to call it fate! Once I answered her post, fate did the rest. From my first phone call with Sarah, I knew we would hit it off! We talked for almost an hour, and not just about her wedding and engagement session, but about our lives. It was wonderful! We then met at a local park a few weeks later to go over details and make sure I was the right fit for her special day! (And I was!)

Then came their engagement session date! I met Sarah and her fiance, Tim, at her family home. I helped her and Tim finalize their outfit choices (they lived 2 miles away from me, so I did not mind doing this for them!) There I was able to meet her AMAZING family! Her sisters and brothers were so welcoming of me into their home, offering me something to drink and even something to eat! I felt like part of the family. Sarah, Tim and I got in one car and headed off to Harkness Memorial State Park! It was a great car ride, where I learned about their love story and more about Tim!

During their Harkness Memorial State Park engagement session, Sarah and Tim were naturals in front of the camera! We laughed and roamed the grounds of the park enthralled in conversation. And I mean, just scroll through to see how beautiful and sweet they are together!
