A sunny engagement session at Hawk Ridge Winery in Watertown, CT
The first warm spring session of the year is in the books! And I had the sweetest and fun couple.
The first time I met Jennifer and Steve, I KNEW we would have a great time together. We had the easiest time taking and joking with each other. I couldn’t have been more excited when they chose me to capture their love story! Jennifer and Steve’s engagement at Hawk Ridge Winery was full of laughs and love!
These two are high school “sweet hearts”, but didn’t connect in their love until recent years. I think it is so sweet that they reconnected after all the years apart. And now they will be married!
We chose this location for their engagement session because it is somewhere Jennifer and Steve love to go! They enjoy spending time here with friends, and each other, sipping on some wine and looking out at the beautiful view. Jennifer said she has been going to the winery since they opened in 2012. She said the transformation of the winery from its beginnings has been tremendous.
It was a picture perfect location! We had rolling green hills, blossoming trees and a gorgeous backdrop of the winery itself! I am so glad we decided to use this location.
Throughout the session Jennifer and Steve were up for anything, even if it meant roaming through an open field of tall grasses! It truly showed their adventurous and fun selves. Throughout the session they were being cute with each other, joking, laughing and getting all snuggly! This made them naturally perfect in front of the camera!! Any time I asked them to go into a pose, I barely had to explain my vision. They just KNEW what I wanted.
